道化生活 Dao in Daily Life
一 . 道之意義
1. 道者理也。在天為天理,在地為地理,在物為物理,在事為事理,在家為倫理,在人為性理。
2. 道者路也。
3. 道是人類的本來面目; (道在自身),道是人類的本然行為。(道在日用尋 常之中) 。
I. True Meaning of DAO
1. Dao is truth. When Dao manifests through the Nature, IT is called the Law (Principle) of Nature. When Dao manifests on Earth, IT is called the Principle of Geography. When Dao manifests on all matters, IT is called the Principle of Physics. When Dao manifests in family relations, IT is called the Principle of Ethics. When Dao manifests upon human beings, IT is called the Principle of True-Self (Self-Nature).
2. Dao is the Way.
3. Dao is our original essence (Dao is intrinsically within us.), and virtue is our original action. (Dao is in daily life.)
二 . 道化生活:
(一) 家庭生活:( 生活有道,養生有道 )
1. 食、衣、住、行、育、樂有道:
(1) 食 : 健康素食,定食、定量、不挑食。
(2) 衣:整齊清潔,適合場合。
(3) 住:作息規律,居家整潔,十一點就寢。
(4) 行:遵守交通規則,不超速、不開路肩。
(5) 育:重視子女之養育與教育。
(6) 樂:適當休閒,道場郊遊,家庭旅遊。
2. 重視家庭倫理:父慈子孝、兄友弟恭、夫義婦順。
3. 夫妻相處有道。
4. 婆媳相處有道。
5. 調教子女有道。
(1.) 耐心教導子女,身教言教境教合一。
(2.) 帶子女參加小天使班、青少年班。
(3.) 帶子女讀經、讀訓。
6. 帶動家人修道,實踐道化家庭。
II. Living with Dao.
(A) Family Life: (Live with Dao and nurture our physical bodies with Dao.)
1. There is Dao in food, clothing, livings, transportations, educations and entertainments:
(1) Food: Take healthy vegetarian at fixed time, with fixed amount and not picky on certain dishes.
(2) Clothing: Be neat, clean and fit for occasions
(3) Livings: Work and rest routinely; keep the house neatly; and sleep before 11:00 pm.
(4) Transportations: Abide by the traffic rules; don’t drive over-speedily and don’t drive on the road-shoulder.
(5) Educations: Pay attention on children’s nurture and education.
(6) Entertainments: Take proper recreational activities, such as outings with Dao society and family.
2. Focus on family relationships: the father is kind and the son is filial; the brothers are friendly and respectful to each other; the husband has justice and the wife has obedience.
3. The husband and the wife live together with Dao.
4. The mother and the daughter in law live together with Dao.
5. Teach and educate our children with Dao.
(1) Be patient when educating our children in accordance with our own actions, words and different situations.
(2) Bring our children to attend classes for Little Angels and Teenagers.
(3) Bring our children to read Sutras and Holy Revelations.
6. Motivate our families to cultivate and practice Dao in daily life.
(二) 職業生活:
1. 態度認真:
(1) 盡忠職守、負責踏實。
(2) 為工作而生活,不是為生活而工作。
2. 做人誠實:
(1) 居上不驕、為下不亂、在醜不爭。
(2) 待人親切有禮,面帶笑容。
3. 做事踏實:妥善計畫,確實執行,虛心檢討。
4. 生涯規劃:
(1) 知足常樂,永保進取; 穩定中求發展。
(2) 師云: 「欲在聖事上求突破,必須在凡事上打穩基礎。」
(B) Vocational Life:
1.Sincere attitude:
(1) Be loyalty, responsible and practical.
(2) To live for works, but not work for a living.
2.Be honest:
(1) Be humble if you are in a higher position; be orderly if (you are) in a basic position; be no competitive in case of profits.
(2) Be sincere and polite to others with smiling faces.
3.Be practical: Make plans carefully, execute thoroughly, review and discuss the results humbly.
4.Life-Career Planning:
(1) Be content and satisfactory. Keep in progress and develop yourselves steadily.
(2) As revealed by our Holy Teacher, Ji-Gong Living Buddha, “If you want to improve in holy affairs, you must build up a solid base over the earthly matters.”
(三) 道場生活:
1. 遵行前人老慈示的修辦原則:
(1) 四好:學道學的好、修道修的好、講道講的好、辦道辦的好。
(2) 四真:修道要真學、辦道要真修、行道要真行、成道要真成。
(3) 不貪不取、不驕不傲、不急不躁。
(4) 心誠、氣和、色溫、辭婉。
(5) 「品格、功德、禮節、火侯」真心下工夫。
2. 飲水思源、敬老尊賢、三施並進、六度勤行。
3. 尊師重道、謹守佛規、護持整體、落實基層。
4. 公心一片,先公後私,公私兼顧。
5. 民之所欲,長在我心(了解眾生的需要來幫助他們) 。
(C) Life in Dao Society:
1. To follow the principles of Dao cultivation and propagation as mercifully instructed by our Qian Ren (Senior Elder):
(1) Four Well’s: To learn the Dao well; to cultivate the Dao well; to lecture the Dao well; and to propagate the Dao well.
(2) Four True’s: To cultivate the Dao with true learning; to propagate the Dao with true cultivation; to practice the Dao with true actions; and to achieve perfection in Dao with true devotions.
(3) Be no greedy, proud nor hasty.
(4) Be sincere in mind, harmony in temper, gentle in appearance, and soft & tactful in words.
(5) Truly pay attentions on personal characters, merits and virtues, proprieties, and tolerance in Dao cultivation.
2. Be grateful and don’t forget one’s origin. Respect the elder and honor the wise. Offer the financial supports, truth sharing and voluntary contributions. Diligently practice the Six Perfections: Contributions, Disciplines, Patience, Progressions, Concentrations and Wisdom.
3. Honor Teachers and respect Dao. Abide by the Buddha rules. Help maintain and protect the Dao Society. Keep the basic executive levels of Dao Society practically functioning.
4. Be fair and just. Do everything first for the public then for the private, and take good care of both concerns.
5. Always bear in mind what people really needs. (To understand what sentient beings need and help them accordingly.)
三 . 修辦有道:
(一) 做個稱職的傳道人:(恩師慈訓)
1. 修道不是辦事情,修道是對自己,半道是對眾生,內聖而後外王,當然兩者也可以合在一起,同時並進。
2. 如果大家都有道氣,這個地方就會好。道氣是什麼?是大家:
(1) 互相尊重。(2)互相研究。(3)互求進步。(4)互相關懷。(5)將心比心。(6)奉獻慈悲。(7)各盡其職。
