有一句話說：「不能實踐在生活中的信仰，就不是信仰。」?如果你天天燒香拜佛、虔誠禱告，卻不能對身旁的人付諸一點關懷行動，那麼，你所做的一切又有什麼意義？?

從前，有個富貴人家的太太，經常帶著許多雞鴨魚肉到廟裡求神，希望神佛能夠保佑她以及她的家人。?

有一回，廟裡來了一位智者，看見富太太的行為，就趁著富太太不注意的時候，把她帶來供奉神明的大魚大肉，分送給廟門口的飢民，接著，又把廟裡的神像全部砸爛。

不久，富太太發現自己帶來的供品不翼而飛，只剩下滿地的神像碎片，感到非常訝異，問智者究竟發生了什麼事？

智者解釋說：「這些神像為了搶奪妳供奉的食物，爭得你死我活，最後同歸於盡。」「這怎麼可能呢？」富太太生氣地說：「你分明是在睜眼說瞎話，這些神像是泥塑的，怎麼可能打架？」

「這就是了！」智者不慌不忙地說：「這些神像是泥塑的，又怎麼會吃你帶來的食物呢？」?說完，智者示意富太太往廟門外看去，富太太看見那些飢餓的遊民們拿著她帶來的食物喜悅滿足地吃著，頓時豁然開朗。

可不是嗎？如果我們不能愛人，又哪來的能力去愛神？如果我們不能為身邊的人付出些什麼，又該拿什麼去獻給上帝、神佛呢？?
